Salt Lake Marathon!!

Yesterday I ran in the Salt Lake Half Marathon. I have mixed feelings about the whole day because I did have a great run and got my personal best time, but after the race I was deathly sick for 24 hours (When your as sick as I was, the good parts of the day sort of fade away into the back of your mind). I just love being at the finish line though, watching all of the runners come through. The environment and attitude of the whole morning is infectious! If you're there as a spectator, it makes you wish you were running! So I have to say that the day was more of a success than not! I'm so grateful to my husband for being such a support to me while I trained for this race! I have such a supportive family all the way around and I'm so thankful for them. Its so fun to see all of them cheering me on as I run through the finish!!

I look much happier in this picture than I felt!

My clock time was 1:49
My official chip time was 1:46, a PB for me!

All done, and drinking my Diet Pepsi
Normally it keeps me from getting sick (didn't work this time!)

My sister is the fastest runner that I personally know, she did the marathon this year and
it was not her best run to say the least. She came through in tears (of joy and pain)
Through all the pain she still ran it in a time of 3:54. Awesome!

Our Favorite Place To Be!

This winter has felt like FOREVER this year, and for anyone who knows me you know how much I HATE the cold, snow, rain, wind (anthing but sun really!) So a couple of weeks ago we were able to head down to St. George with my side of the family for some much needed R & R. We got so lucky when we were there and got Fantastic weather, (we're talkin' upper 80's!) It couldn't have been a better weekend for us! Extended amounts of gloomy weather have a tendency to send me into little bit of a depression mode, so this was exactly what I needed! The girls had a BLAST at the pool (this was Piper's first time in a swimming pool, and she loved it!) If I had all the money in the world, this is what I would do all day everyday! Thanks Mom & Dad for a Great weekend!!My fabulously fit parents!

(Does that look like a 63 year old man to you?)

Her first day at the pool really wiped her out, Piper taking a little snooze!

Vegas & Disney on Ice!!

This past Friday night Kennedy, Chris & I along with my Niece Syd, her daughter Sophie & her husband Griff were all able to go to Disney on Ice! (Thanks to my wonderful and extremely generous parents, who got us all front row seats so the girls could see.) They could see absolutely perfectly, and loved every bit of it. I even enjoyed it! It was so cute, and so fun to watch the girls as they watched the show. Sophie & Kennedy are so cute together! We went to dinner before the show at one of my favorite places, Biaggi's. It was all around a perfect night! We had such a great time, and are so grateful to have such great parents/grandparents and love them so much!

The four girls!

GIRLS WEEKEND IN VEGAS!
We usually take at least 1 girls trip a year to Vegas and this was our first one of the year. We spent a couple days in Vegas shopping and eating our little hearts out! It's always so fun! This time we stayed at the Cosmopolitan Resort which was extremely nice! I'm so lucky to have such great kids who are so easy going when it comes to shopping. (This may be a bad thing in the future when they start asking for everything they see, but for now they're just happy to ride along and get a few things here and there.) I had a great time with my mom and sister and are so grateful for them and all the help they were to me with the girls while we were all together. Love you both so much! We had a blast!!
The plane ride to Fabulous Las Vegas.
Luckily both girls did great on the plane.

It's not a trip to Vegas without a stop at the Hello Kitty store.

Our Little Missy Turns 3!

On February 8th our little Kennedy turned 3 years old, it's so amazingly sad how quickly the time goes by! She's growing up so fast, before I know it I'll be dropping her off at Kindergarten while I secretly cry in the car! Kennedy is such a joy in our lives, and always keeps us laughing. She is so smart, and so sweet, she's such a good big sister, and a great helper to me around the house. We love her SOOO much! We had so much fun celebrating her birthday too. Her birthday was on a Tuesday so we had cake and ice cream that night to celebrate it, but the real party was on Friday night at Jungle Jims so she could play with all of her cousins and friends. We all had so much fun, and are so thankful to all of the wonderful family & friends that we have in our lives who are always there for us and our kids. Happy Birthday Miss Kennedy!
The Birthday Girl!
Kennedy wanted a Phineas & Ferb themed party. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a show on the Disney Channel that even I find entertaining! I think it's meant for 10 year olds or something, so of course Kennedy would pick something like that. She loves the show and watches it everyday so I wasn't suprised at all when that's the theme she picked this year!

Chris's masterpieces (yet again) He's the creative one in our little family, so he get's the fun job of making the cake every year. He's so good at it, isn't he??
