What's Going on with Kennedy?!

I know she's only 18 months but she has shown alot of interest in going on the big girl potty, so I thought I'd take a wack at potty training. So today we got Kennedy her very own potty that's just her size AND she went pee in it. I was so excited I started dancing and singing and jumping around so she would get excited and want to go potty in it more often. It sings every time you pee in it and she loves that, she gets all excited and a huge smile comes across her face! So the first day of attempting potty training was in my eyes a success, hopefully we'll have more of those in the future! Any tips?? I'd love to hear them!

Kennedy also loves to climb into the dryer when I turn my back for longer than 2 seconds! She's such a little monkey! She's growing up so fast right before my eyes. She's such a little chatter box, She copies every word that comes out of my mouth (even the ones I don't want her saying!)She's such a great little helper, she thinks she's so big and can do everything. She especially loves helping me clean the house. I love her so much and I'm so grateful everyday that I'm her mom!

My 25th Birthday!

This post is about a month late (my birthday is July 18) I'm the worlds worst blogger! But I thought better late than never! So, I have the greatest husband ever! For my 25th birthday Chris told me we would be going to dinner to a place he would not disclose, and somewhere else after that, that he also would not disclose (He does things like this all the time so I didn't think anything of it) We were going to drop Kennedy off at my moms and then head off to dinner. When I walked into my moms living room...SUPRISE! There was a room full of all of my family and friends. Chris threw me a suprise party, how sweet is that! I had so much fun hanging out with everyone, a few of them I don't get to see very often so it was great! Thanks Chris, for being the best husband ever! I love you so much! Happy Birthday to me...one month late!

NeWpOrT BeAcH!

This past week my family went on our yearly vacation to Newport Beach and stayed in a beautiful beach house my parents rented for us right on the boardwalk. We had the best time doing absolutely nothing but relaxing. We spent most of the time right outside our house playing on the beach. Kennedy loved every minute of playing in the sand and catching a few rays herself. It was a much needed vacation! Thanks mom & dad for a great week! (I apologize for how long this post is, there were so many great pictures to choose from!)

This little bucket that Kennedy is sitting in was probably her
favorite part of the trip, she played in it every single day!

HeCtiC, CrAzY, EmOtiOnaL MoNtH!

I've been the worst blogger the past four or five weeks and I apologize. This past month has been quite a struggle for our little family. This fabulous month started off with my dear Grandpa Smart passing away, which was extremely sad for the entire Smart family. I have lived within a few steps of him and my Grandma's house for as long as I can remember so it's very sad he's not with us anymore. I will miss him dearly! Next, came my near fatal hike in Zions National Park where some friends and I were stuck in a cold, icy canyon for 8 hours and eventually saved by search and rescue. A very scary day which I truly believed would be my last! I'm very grateful for my Heavenly Father because I know it was through him that I am here today. Lastly, Chris's grandma passed away last Sunday which took us to Arizona for the funeral. She was such a sweet, smart, witty lady who will truly be missed by the entire Pew family. So in a very lengthy explanation that has been our month. I hope the saying that bad things come in three's is true because that would mean that we are done for a while!

Here are a few pics from our trip!
